MCP Server for WorldNewsAPI in VS Code Copilot
Use `search_world_news` to allow all developers on the team to search news by keyword. By committing the configuration, every developer gets immediate access. You define the capability once, and your entire engineering team uses it automatically within their code context.
WorldNewsAPI Content Extraction via VS Code Copilot
The `extract_news_from_url` tool lets you reliably pull article content from specific URLs. This is perfect for building data pipelines that ingest external articles. The team doesn't need to remember complex API calls; they just reference the tool, and the Copilot Chat agent does the heavy lifting.
Manage News Status with WorldNewsAPI
Developers can use `check_api_status` to confirm service operational status before deployment. This prevents integration failures across different project branches. It’s a standardized, required check that ensures the stability of any code using this MCP Server.
