Determine a binary outcome

Your agent calls `get_decision` to get a random choice, returning 'yes', 'no', or 'maybe'. This is useful for flagging ambiguous records in BigQuery. The output includes a GIF. Your Gemini model can process this visual context along with the text decision.

Mandate a specific result

If your business logic demands a 'yes' or 'no', you use `get_decision` to force that answer. This is crucial when correlating data sets where one field must dictate the final outcome. It ensures your agent doesn't get stuck in ambiguity when processing enterprise records.

Simulate a quick poll result

Use `get_decision` to simulate a simple decision, treating it like an initial vote or internal consensus. It keeps the overhead low for your long-context reasoning. This tool adds immediate context—both textual and visual—to decisions made on Google Cloud.

Setup guide

Set up YesNo MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with YesNo tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="YesNo_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to YesNo tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about YesNo MCP in Google ADK

Yes. You pass the MCP server as a toolset to your LlmAgent, and it handles the execution flow. It's straightforward integration into your existing Google Cloud environment.
It does. Just pass the required value to `get_decision`. This lets you guarantee that the decision input matches what your downstream BigQuery process expects.
The server works with simple string decisions ('yes', 'no', 'maybe'). This type of discrete, categorical data is easy for Gemini models to process and reason over.
It's designed for utility. It adds a decision point without adding complexity, making it ideal for enriching your long-context data pipelines.
No, you just need an endpoint token to connect. The tool is self-contained and focuses purely on generating a random or forced decision string.
