Your AI does the work. We keep it safe and sound.

No other AI tool gives you this. Your workflow runs in the client you already love, your account stays protected, and you decide what the agent can and cannot do. It is the whole reason to make the switch.

Each Connector lives inside our infrastructure, the same place where your workflow runs. The three things below are already part of it, working quietly in the background so you never have to think about them. Nothing to add, nothing to set up, nothing to worry about.

How Vinkius works: one connection, every tool, in any AI
V8 Isolate01

Each Connector runs inside its own sealed environment.

Each Connector runs inside its own sealed V8 runtime — no access to your files, your system, or other servers. A Connector never sees past its own request.

Kill Switch02

One switch stops every agent. Instantly.

One action deactivates every Connector, revokes every token, and ends every session at once. AI Governance keeps the record.

FinOps per User03

Spending limits that pause instead of surprise.

Every user keeps their own connections and credentials, isolated from everyone else. Anything that would cross your spending limit is held for your approval, not billed.

Three controls, built into the layer your AI connects through.

One connector, every AI

City of Amsterdam works with the most popular AI clients.

These are the most popular clients, each with a step-by-step guide: one link, set up once, with governance and visibility built in. And because everything runs on the MCP standard, the same connection also works in any other compatible client — nothing to rebuild.

Building your own app? The connector is yours to use.

You don't need a client to put City of Amsterdam to work: the same hosted connection plugs into your own applications and agent code, with the same governance on every request. Build with it, chat with it — one connection for both.

FAQ

Questions City of Amsterdam owners ask.

  • 01

Do I need an API key to use this MCP?

No. This MCP provides keyless access to the public Amsterdam DSO open-data platform.

  • 02

Which AI clients can I use with this?

You can use this with any MCP-compatible client, including Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code.

  • 03

Can I filter outages by specific neighborhoods?

Yes. You can filter power outages and citizen reports by postcode, neighborhood, or specific area polygons.

  • 04

Does this include data on street lights?

Yes. The MCP includes capabilities to list the status and location of public street lights and public clocks.

  • 05

    Is the data real-time?

The data comes directly from the city's live incident and public service status feeds.

  • 06

Do I need an API key?

No. The stroomstoringen, wior, meldingen and storingsmeldingen_ovl_en_klokken services of the city's DSO open-data platform are public (OPENBAAR) and work without credentials.

  • 07

    How fresh is the data?

Outages and road works are updated by the city's own incident systems on a regular basis and are a near-real-time view of public incidents; citizen reports reflect the register at its sync interval. Treat status values as the official Dutch terms and map them to your own states.

  • 08

Why are the status values in Dutch?

The city publishes the data in Dutch; for example outage status uses values like 'opgelost' (resolved) and road works main status uses 'In uitvoering' (in execution). The capabilities return the raw values. translate or map them in your agent rather than filtering on a guessed English term.

  • 09

Can I filter outages by postal code?

No. The affected-postcodes field on outage records is a semicolon-joined string, so exact-match filtering by postal code is not meaningful. Filter by status, energy type, outage type or affected area instead, and narrow client-side if you need a specific postal code.
