    How do I connect my Simplenote account?

    You need to provide your SIMPLENOTE_APP_ID and SIMPLENOTE_TOKEN in the credential settings after adding the MCP to your client.

    Can my AI client see all my notes?

    Yes, the MCP provides the agent with the ability to list and search through your notes.

    Is deleting a note permanent?

    Yes, using the delete_note capability removes the note permanently and cannot be undone.

    Can I recover an old version of a note?

    Yes, if you have the note key and the specific version number, the agent can use the get_note_version capability to retrieve it.

    Simplenote is designed for personal note management. This integration accesses notes tied to the authenticated user's account only. Team collaboration features are not available through the Simperium API.

    Yes. Simplenote stores plain text, so Markdown syntax is preserved as-is when you create or update notes. The Simplenote clients will render Markdown formatting natively.
