Short answer
How can I see my Anyscale job status using AI?
Your AI uses the list_jobs tool to pull a list of your current and past jobs from Anyscale. You can then ask for specific details on execution status or performance metrics for any job it finds. This gives you a direct line into your training workloads without opening the Anyscale dashboard.

STATUS
Real-time job tracking
The AI pulls the current state of your training runs. You'll know exactly which jobs are running, failed, or finished.
METRICS
Performance insights
Your agent retrieves execution metrics from your jobs. You can ask about specific data points to see how your training is progressing.
LISTING
Complete job history
The AI scans your account to find specific background tasks. It organizes your job history so you can find what you need quickly.
HUMAN
Manual intervention
The AI only reads job data. You still need to log into Anyscale if you want to manually stop a job or change your cluster configuration.
The workflow
What your AI does when you ask about jobs.
The AI acts as a bridge between your chat interface and your Anyscale account.
Scan for jobs
The AI looks through your Anyscale account to find all active and completed training or batch jobs.
list_jobsIdentify specific runs
Once the list is retrieved, the AI identifies the specific job you're asking about based on your description.
list_jobsExtract status data
The agent pulls the current execution state to tell you if a job is still running or if it hit an error.
list_jobsReport metrics
The AI summarizes the job's performance data so you can see how the workload is behaving.

How the Anyscale connector behaves
- 01
Can the AI stop a running job?
No. The current tools only allow the AI to list and read job data. You must use the Anyscale dashboard to terminate or modify jobs.
- 02
Can I change my cluster settings through the AI?
No. The AI can only retrieve information about existing jobs. It cannot change your infrastructure or cluster configurations.
- 03
Does the AI see all my Anyscale data?
The AI only sees the job information provided by the list_jobs tool. It doesn't have access to your entire account or other private data.
- 04
Can I ask for specific metrics like GPU usage?
Yes, if those metrics are included in the job data returned by Anyscale, your AI can read and report them to you.
- 05
Will the AI delete any of my training logs?
No. The AI is strictly a read-only interface for job status and metrics. It cannot delete jobs or logs.
