Short answer
How can my AI understand my site's organization?
Your AI uses the CrafterCMS connector to pull tree structures, navigation paths, and breadcrumbs directly from your CMS. This gives your agent a clear map of your content hierarchy and parent-child relationships.
Where every insight lands.
Mapping outcomes
The AI uses the site data to produce these specific views of your content.
HIERARCHY
Full site maps
The AI builds a complete picture of your content nesting. You get a clear view of how pages relate to one another.
NAVIGATION
Menu structures
Your agent identifies how users move through the site. It maps out the specific navigation trees used in your templates.
CONTEXT
Path awareness
The AI follows breadcrumbs to understand where a specific piece of content lives. This helps it maintain context during long chats.
HUMAN
Manual audits
The AI flags structural inconsistencies or broken paths. You then step in to fix the actual CMS configuration.
The workflow
What your AI does when the connection is live.

How the mapping task works
- 01
Can the AI change my site structure?
No. The AI can only read the tree, navigation, and breadcrumb data. It cannot move, delete, or create pages in CrafterCMS.
- 02
Does the AI see my actual content text?
The tools used for mapping focus on the hierarchy and organization. They do not pull the full body text of every page unless you specifically ask for content-focused tools.
- 03
Can I use this with Claude?
Yes, any MCP-compatible client like Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf works with this connector.
- 04
How does the AI know where a page is?
It uses the breadcrumb and tree data to trace the path from the root to the specific page you are asking about.
- 05
Will the AI suggest new menu items?
The AI can suggest ideas based on your current structure, but it has no way to actually write those changes to your CMS.
