Short answer
How can I use AI to verify identities?
Your AI uses Face++ to compare incoming user photos against existing facial datasets to confirm a match. It handles everything from setting up the database to performing the actual comparison. You get a clear match or no-match result for every check.
Verification outcomes
Identity check results
What happens after your AI runs a check.
MATCH
Identity confirmed
The AI finds a high-confidence match in your database. It flags the user as verified and moves them to the next step in your process.
MISMATCH
Identity rejected
The AI determines the photo does not match any stored faces. It logs the failure and stops the verification attempt.
HUMAN
Manual review needed
If the similarity score is too low or ambiguous, the AI flags the case for you to inspect personally.
DATA
Database updated
The AI can add new verified faces to your existing sets to expand your recognition capabilities over time.
The workflow
What your AI does when a photo arrives.
The AI handles the heavy lifting of facial data management and comparison.
Initialize storage
The AI sets up a dedicated collection to hold the facial data for your specific verification project.
create_facesetRegister users
Your agent populates the collection by adding individual facial profiles to the set.
add_face_to_facesetVerify identity
The AI checks a new photo against a single known face to see if they are the same person.
compare_facesFind matches
The AI scans your entire collection to find any face that matches the provided image.

How this task behaves
- 01
Can the AI delete faces from my database?
No. The current tools only allow for creating sets, adding faces, and performing comparisons or searches.
- 02
Does the AI decide if a user is allowed access?
No. The AI provides the comparison results and match scores, but you decide what happens after a match is found.
- 03
Can I use this to search across different facesets at once?
No. You must specify the target faceset for searches and comparisons.
- 04
Will the AI automatically create a new faceset every time I ask?
Only if you explicitly tell it to use the creation tool. It won't create new storage without your instruction.
- 05
How does the AI handle a photo that doesn't match anyone?
The search tool will return no results, and the AI will report that no match was found in the specified set.
