Short answer
How can I track my agent's tool performance?
Your agent uses the telemetry tool to report execution metrics back to the Glama backend. This lets you monitor success rates and catch errors as they happen. You'll see exactly how your tools are behaving.
The telemetry outcomes.
Where your data lands.
The agent pushes metrics to the backend for you to review.
LOGS
Live execution data
The agent sends event details to Glama. You get a direct feed of tool usage and status.
METRICS
Success rate tracking
The backend tracks how often tools succeed. You can see which specific tools are reliable.
ERRORS
Failure identification
When a tool fails, the agent reports the error. You'll know exactly why a task didn't complete.
HUMAN
Manual intervention
The AI can't fix its own broken tools. You'll need to step in to adjust prompts or tool logic based on the logs.
The workflow
What your AI does when a tool runs.
The agent handles the reporting so you don't have to manually log every action.
Detect execution
The agent recognizes that a tool has been triggered or has finished its task.
glama_send_telemetryPackage metrics
The agent gathers the tool name, status, and error details into a single report.
glama_send_telemetrySend telemetry
The agent pushes the data packet to the Glama backend using the telemetry tool.
glama_send_telemetryUpdate records
The backend receives the information and updates your performance dashboard.

How telemetry behaves
- 01
Does the AI report every tool call automatically?
No. The agent only sends telemetry when you instruct it to use the telemetry tool.
- 02
Can the AI fix a tool that is failing?
No. The AI can report that a tool failed, but you must manually fix the tool or the prompt.
- 03
What data is actually sent to Glama?
The agent sends the tool name, the execution status, and any error messages it receives.
- 04
Can the AI delete my telemetry logs?
No. This MCP only has the ability to send data; it cannot delete or modify existing logs.
- 05
Do I need to write code to enable this?
No. Once the MCP is connected, you just use natural language to tell your agent to report its status.
