Short answer
How can I sync translation files with my AI?
Your AI agent uses the Localazy MCP to pull files from your project and push new translations directly back into your repository. This keeps your localization data in lockstep with your code. You'll see how the agent handles imports and file management below.
The results.
Where your data lands.
The AI handles the heavy lifting of moving files between your environment and Localazy.
SYNCED
Code and translations match
The agent pulls fresh strings into your local environment. Your code stays updated with the latest language assets.
AUTOMATED
No manual exports
The AI handles the file transfer process. You don't have to download zip files or move JSON files around manually.
VERIFIED
Valid file formats
The agent checks which formats are supported before attempting a transfer. This prevents broken builds from bad file types.
HUMAN
Review required
The AI can't decide which translations are culturally accurate. You still need to check the final strings for tone and context.
The workflow
What your AI does when a sync request arrives.
The agent acts as the bridge between your local files and the Localazy API.
Check availability
The agent first identifies which file formats Localazy can accept to ensure the sync won't fail.
list_import_formatsLocate assets
The agent looks through your Localazy project to find the specific translation files you need to work with.
list_filesPull content
The agent brings the translation data into your workspace so your AI can read and edit it.
import_contentSave changes
Once the translations are ready, the agent writes the updated files back to your local directory.

How the sync behaves
- 01
Can the AI automatically push changes to my production server?
No. The AI can download files to your local environment, but you are responsible for deploying those files to your servers.
- 02
Will the AI delete my existing translation files?
No. The tools provided only allow for listing, importing, and downloading files. There is no tool for deleting content.
- 03
What file types can I sync?
The AI can check exactly which formats are supported by using the list_import_formats tool.
- 04
Can the AI translate the text itself?
The AI can process the text you give it, but it uses Localazy to manage the storage and retrieval of those strings.
- 05
Does the AI handle the actual translation work?
The AI can help you draft translations, but the final source of truth for your localized strings remains Localazy.
