Short answer
How can I turn my images into 3D models using AI?
You provide your AI agent with one or more reference images, and it uses Meshy to generate a 3D mesh. You'll get a detailed model ready for your 3D pipeline.
The results you get
Where your assets land
The AI produces different outputs depending on how many images you provide.
SINGLE
Single image mesh
The AI builds a 3D model from one reference photo. This works best for simple objects with clear silhouettes.
MULTI
Multi-view mesh
The AI uses several images to build a more accurate model. This captures depth and side details better than a single shot.
ASSET
Ready-to-use geometry
You receive a detailed 3D mesh. This output is ready to be imported into your preferred 3D software.
HUMAN
Manual refinement
The AI handles the mesh creation, but you'll need to handle any final topology tweaks or texture adjustments in your 3D suite.
The workflow
What your AI does when the images arrive.
Your agent acts as the bridge between your image files and the Meshy generation engine.
Analyze input
Your agent looks at the images you uploaded to determine if it should process a single view or multiple views.
create_image_to_3dGenerate mesh
The AI triggers the generation process to turn those 2D pixels into 3D coordinates and surfaces.
create_multi_image_to_3dProcess geometry
The engine builds the mesh structure based on the visual data provided in your images.
create_image_to_3dcreate_multi_image_to_3dDeliver model
The completed 3D asset is handed back to your agent for you to access.

How the task behaves
- 01
Can the AI fix broken textures on my existing models?
No. This tool is for creating new meshes from images, not for editing existing 3D files.
- 02
Does the AI create animations for the models?
No. The tool generates the 3D mesh geometry, but it does not create rigging or animations.
- 03
What happens if I only provide one image?
The AI will use the single image to estimate the depth and shape of the object to create a mesh.
- 04
Is it better to use one image or multiple images?
Multiple images provide more data, which usually results in a more accurate 3D model.
- 05
Can I use this to convert video files?
No. You must provide static images to trigger the generation tools.
