Short answer
How do I kill active AI tool access sessions?
You tell your AI to revoke the specific access token for the service you want to disconnect. The AI then executes the command to kill the OAuth flow, effectively isolating the connection. This stops any further data exchange with that specific service immediately.
Immediate isolation outcomes.
What happens when you trigger a revocation.
What you get when you sever a connection.
SECURITY
Broken connections
The AI uses the revocation tool to invalidate the token. The active session ends, and the service no longer recognizes the AI's permission.
ISOLATION
Stopped data flows
Any ongoing or scheduled data transfers stop. This prevents a compromised tool from pulling more information from your accounts.
CONTROL
Manual oversight
The AI reports the status of the revocation. You decide if you need to re-authenticate or if the connection should stay dead.
HUMAN
Requires your approval
The AI won't delete your primary account credentials. You must manually log back into the service if you want to restore access later.
The workflow
What your AI does when a connection is compromised.
The AI handles the technical handshake to break the link.
Identify the token
Your AI identifies which specific OAuth session or access token needs to be killed based on your request.
mintmcp_revoke_access_tokenExecute revocation
The AI sends the command to the service to invalidate the session immediately.
mintmcp_revoke_access_tokenConfirm termination
The AI checks that the token is no longer valid to ensure the connection is actually dead.
mintmcp_revoke_access_tokenReport status
The AI tells you the result of the operation so you know the service is isolated.

How the revocation works
- 01
Will this delete my account on the other service?
No. This only kills the specific permission token that allows the AI to talk to that service.
- 02
Can the AI revoke access without me asking?
No. The AI only performs a revocation when you explicitly instruct it to do so.
- 03
Does this work for all connected tools?
It works for any service where MintMCP has an active OAuth token to revoke.
- 04
Can the AI change my password to secure my account?
No. The AI can only revoke access tokens; it cannot modify your account passwords or security settings.
- 05
How do I get access back after revoking it?
You will need to go through the standard OAuth authorization process again to re-establish the connection.
