How to execute bank transfers with your AI

Connect Mono to your AI client to move money. Once connected, your agent handles the transfer details and execution.

Ask AI about this page

Short answer

How can I send money using my AI?

You give your AI the recipient, the amount, and a reference. It uses Mono to trigger the transfer immediately. You'll see the transaction status right after it runs.

The outcomes

Where your money lands

The AI processes the request and you get one of these results.

SUCCESS

Payment sent

The AI confirms the transfer went through. You get a record of the successful transaction.

PENDING

Transfer in progress

The AI shows the payment is being processed by the bank. You can check the status later.

FAILED

Payment declined

The AI reports that the transfer failed. It will tell you if the issue was a bad account or insufficient funds.

HUMAN

Manual action required

If the bank flags the move, the AI stops. You'll need to log in to your bank to finish the task.

The workflow

What your AI does when you request a payment.

The AI manages the technical details so you don't have to touch a banking app.

  1. Collect data

Your agent asks you for the recipient's details, the amount, and the specific reference text.

    initiate_payment
  2. Format request

The AI organizes the amount and description into a format the bank understands.

    initiate_payment
  3. Execute transfer

The AI sends the command to Mono to move the funds in real time.

    initiate_payment
  4. Confirm result

The AI checks the response from the bank and tells you if the money moved.

FAQ

How the task behaves

  • 01

Can the AI cancel a transfer once it's sent?

No. Once the AI triggers the payment, the bank takes over. You have to use your bank's interface to stop it.

  • 02

Does the AI have access to my full bank history?

No. The AI only has access to the tools provided by the Mono connector to perform specific actions.

  • 03

Can the AI set up recurring payments?

No. The AI can only execute the single transfers you ask for in the moment.

  • 04

What if the transfer amount is too high?

If the transfer exceeds your bank's limits, the AI will report a failure. You'll have to handle large transfers manually.

  • 05

Can the AI see my password?

No. Your login credentials are encrypted and the AI never sees them.
