Short answer
How can I automate media processing with my AI?
Your AI uses Rendi to bundle multiple FFmpeg operations into one continuous execution in the cloud. It manages the command chain and reports back on the status of the job. You get finished files without running local terminal commands.
Where your media tasks land.
The outcomes of your request.
The AI handles the execution while you manage the results.
CLOUD
Remote execution
The AI runs the heavy video processing in the cloud. This keeps your local machine free for other work.
STATUS
Live progress tracking
Your agent monitors the job. You can ask if the processing is finished or if it hit an error.
FILES
Processed media
The AI completes the sequence and provides the final output. You get the exact file format you requested.
HUMAN
Manual review
You decide if the output meets your quality standards. The AI won't judge the visual results, only the command success.
The workflow
What your AI does when a media request arrives.
The AI acts as the orchestrator for your video processing needs.
Build the sequence
The AI translates your plain English request into a specific chain of FFmpeg operations.
run_chained_ffmpeg_commandsLaunch in cloud
The AI sends the command chain to the cloud to begin the heavy processing work.
run_chained_ffmpeg_commandsMonitor progress
The AI checks in on the job to see if the processing is still running or if it finished.
get_command_statusReport results
The AI tells you whether the media was processed successfully or if the command failed.

}Convert the video in my 'uploads' folder to a 1080p MP4 and then create a thumbnail from the first frame.
Take the file 'intro.mov', resize it to 720p, and strip the audio.
Check the status of my last media processing job to see if it's done.
Chain a command to compress 'raw_footage.mkv' and then add a watermark to the corner.

How the media automation behaves
- 01
Can the AI edit the actual video content?
No. The AI only executes FFmpeg commands. It can't 'see' the video to make creative decisions like 'make this person look happier'.
- 02
Does the AI run these commands on my computer?
No. All processing happens in the cloud via Rendi.
- 03
Can the AI delete my original files?
No. The tools only allow for running commands and checking status. The AI cannot delete files from your storage.
- 04
How do I know if a job failed?
The AI uses the status tool to check the job. It will tell you if the command returned an error.
- 05
Can I run multiple commands at once?
Yes. The AI chains multiple operations into a single sequence for a single execution.
