Short answer
How can I turn audio files into text using my AI?
Give your AI a media URL, and it will trigger a transcription job via Verbit. You'll get text documents or caption files once the job finishes. This process covers everything from starting the task to pulling the final transcript.

How the transcription task behaves
- 01
Can the AI edit the transcript directly?
No. The AI can only retrieve the transcript once it is finished. You must perform any edits yourself.
- 02
Does the AI handle the actual audio processing?
No. The AI only manages the jobs. Verbit performs the actual transcription work.
- 03
Can I ask the AI to delete a transcription job?
No. There is no tool available to delete or cancel jobs through this MCP.
- 04
How does the AI know when the text is ready?
The AI uses the job status tool to check if the transcription is complete before attempting to pull the text.
- 05
Can I provide a local file instead of a URL?
No. The current tools require a media URL to initiate a job.
