Short answer
How can I use AI to set up Vidyard players?
You tell your agent to create a new player and name it, then tell it which video to attach. It handles the container creation and video mapping so you can deploy to your site. You'll get a ready-to-use player configuration.
The outcomes
What you get from this task
The agent manages the technical setup of your video assets.
DEPLOY
Ready players
The agent uses create_empty_player to spin up new containers. You get fresh players ready for your website.
ASSIGN
Linked content
Your agent uses attach_video_to_player to map specific videos to your new containers. This ensures the right content plays in the right place.
ORGANIZE
Named containers
The agent uses update_player_name to keep your player list clean. You can group players by campaign or client name easily.
REVIEW
Human oversight
You decide which videos are ready for deployment. The AI won't pick or upload content for you; it only manages the containers you specify.
The workflow
What your AI does when you request a player setup.
The agent translates your plain English instructions into specific Vidyard API calls.
Initialize the player

create_empty_playerName the container
It assigns a specific name to the player so you can find it in your dashboard later.
update_player_nameLink the video
The agent connects a specific video asset to the newly created player.

How the player setup behaves
- 01
Can the AI upload new video files for me?
No. The AI can only attach existing videos to players. You must upload your videos to Vidyard first.
- 02
Can the AI delete players from my account?
No. The tools only allow for creating, naming, and attaching videos. Deletion must be done manually in Vidyard.
- 03
Will the AI change my player's embed code?
No. The AI manages the player configuration and naming, but it does not touch the actual embed code used on your website.
- 04
Can I rename players after they are created?
Yes. You can ask your agent to rename any existing player at any time.
- 05
Does the AI need my Vidyard password?
No. You connect via Vinkius, which keeps your login credentials encrypted and separate from the AI client.
