Short answer
How can I update addresses and find contacts via chat?
You can add new customer locations and look up partner contact info directly in your conversation. Your AI uses Dashdoc to write new addresses to your system and pull existing contact lists. You'll see how this works in the breakdown below.
Where your data goes
Logistics outcomes
The AI handles the data entry and retrieval so you don't have to switch tabs.
DATA ENTRY
Add new locations
Tell your AI a new customer address and it will save it to your system. You won't need to open a separate dashboard to log a new stop.
RETRIEVAL
Find partner contacts
Ask for contact details for specific partners. Your AI pulls the relevant info from your transport contacts list immediately.
AUDIT
Check saved addresses
Request a list of all current delivery locations. The AI pulls your saved addresses so you can verify details on the fly.
HUMAN
Review and confirm
The AI presents the data it finds or the address it just created. You stay in control by verifying the details before moving to the next task.

Identify the request
Your AI determines if you want to add a new location or look up existing information.

How the Dashdoc connector behaves
- 01
Can the AI delete an existing address?
No. The current tools only allow for creating new addresses and listing existing ones. Deletions must be done manually in your system.
- 02
Does the AI create new contact profiles?
No. The AI can retrieve contact details using list_transport_contacts, but it cannot create new partner contacts.
- 03
Can I use this with any AI client?
Yes, as long as the client supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- 04
Will the AI automatically save an address if I just mention it?
No. The AI will only use the create_new_address tool when you explicitly ask it to add or save the address.
- 05
Do I need to keep the Dashdoc website open?
No. Once you connect the MCP, the AI handles the communication in the background.
