Search outcomes
What you get from a search
Searching your history turns raw video into actionable information.
RECALL
Instant topic retrieval
The AI finds the exact moment a topic was discussed. You get the specific text without scrolling through hours of video.
CONTEXT
Cross-meeting connections
The AI identifies when the same subject comes up in different calls. This helps you track how a project or decision evolves over time.
SUMMARY
Condensed meeting insights
Instead of reading a full transcript, you get a tight summary of the specific points you asked about. This saves you from digging through fluff.
HUMAN

How the search behaves
- 01
Can the AI delete my Fathom recordings?
No. The AI only has permission to read and search your data. It cannot delete or modify your recordings.
- 02
Does the AI record new meetings for me?
No. This MCP is for searching and retrieving existing data. You still use the Fathom app to record your calls.
- 03
Can I search for things that weren't transcribed?
No. The AI can only search through the text that has been successfully transcribed by Fathom.
- 04
How does it handle different speakers?
The AI reads the transcript text, which includes speaker identification, so it can distinguish between different people in the conversation.
- 05
Can the AI edit the meeting notes in Fathom?
No. The tools provided only allow for searching meetings and getting transcripts. The AI cannot change your existing notes.
