Short answer
How do I send a recording bot to a meeting I'm already in?
Paste the meeting URL into your chat and tell your agent to send the bot. The agent uses Fireflies.ai to join the session immediately. You'll get a transcript and summary once the call ends.
The results
What you get from the bot

How the bot behaves
- 01
Can the AI join the meeting as a person?
No. The agent sends a Fireflies bot that appears as a participant, not as your own user account.
- 02
Can the AI delete a recording once it's made?
No. The agent can only trigger the bot to join a meeting. You must manage or delete recordings within Fireflies.ai.
- 03
Will the bot record if I don't give it a URL?
No. The agent needs a specific meeting URL to know where to send the bot.
- 04
Does the AI listen to the meeting in real time?
The bot records the audio, but the agent uses the resulting transcript after the meeting is finished.
- 05
Can the AI change the meeting settings?
No. The agent only has the ability to add the bot to the meeting via the provided tool.
