Short answer
How can I use my AI to start cloud processes?
Your AI uses the publish_message tool to drop a payload into a designated Google Pub/Sub topic. This message acts as a signal for your cloud infrastructure to start running heavy data tasks. You'll see how the handoff works below.
Where signals land.
The outcomes of a trigger.
The AI acts as the trigger for your backend services.
EVENT
Instant cloud triggers
The AI sends a message to your topic. This immediately alerts your cloud functions or workers to start their work.
DATA
Payload delivery
Your agent includes specific data in the message. This ensures your backend receives the exact parameters it needs to run.
LOGS
Execution tracking
Once the message is sent, your cloud logs will show the incoming event. You can monitor the task progress in your Google Cloud console.
HUMAN
Manual oversight
The AI only sends the signal. You still manage the actual cloud infrastructure and the logic that processes the messages.
The workflow
What your AI does when a command arrives.
The AI handles the communication layer between your chat and your cloud environment.
Parse the intent
Your agent looks at your request to figure out what data needs to be sent to the cloud.
publish_messageFormat the payload
The AI structures your instructions into a valid message format for the topic.
publish_messageSend the signal
The agent pushes the message directly to your specified Google Pub/Sub topic.
publish_messageConfirm delivery
The AI verifies the message was successfully published so you know the trigger worked.

How the trigger behaves
- 01
Can the AI create new Pub/Sub topics?
No. The AI can only publish messages to topics that already exist in your Google Cloud project.
- 02
Will the AI delete my existing messages or topics?
No. This MCP only has the ability to publish messages. It cannot delete, modify, or manage your cloud resources.
- 03
Does the AI know if my cloud function actually finished the task?
No. The AI only knows that the message was successfully delivered to the topic. It cannot see the results of the downstream process.
- 04
Can I send complex JSON objects?
Yes. You can tell your agent to include specific JSON payloads in the message it publishes.
- 05
Do I need to provide my Google Cloud keys?
You provide them once during setup. Vinkius manages the connection securely so you don't have to paste keys into every chat.
