Short answer
Can I reboot JD Cloud VMs using my AI?
Yes. You can tell your AI to find specific instances and trigger a reboot command. You'll see the specific steps and commands below.
The outcomes.
What you get.
This is what happens when your AI manages your infrastructure.
RECOVERY
Restored VM access
The AI executes the reboot command for the target instance. You get your service back online without manual CLI work.
VISIBILITY
Instance status check
The AI pulls a list of your current running instances. You'll know exactly which ID to target for a restart.
EFFICIENCY
No console needed
You skip the JD Cloud web dashboard entirely. The AI handles the heavy lifting in your chat interface.
HUMAN
Manual intervention
If a reboot fails to fix a hung state, you'll need to step in. The AI identifies the instance, but you decide if a hard reset is required.
The workflow
What your AI does when a VM hangs.
Your AI acts as the bridge between your chat window and the JD Cloud API.
Identify the target
The AI scans your account to find the specific instance you're talking about.
list_vm_instancesConfirm the instance
Your agent presents the list of VMs to ensure it targets the right ID.
list_vm_instancesExecute the reboot
Once you confirm, the AI sends the restart signal to the cloud provider.
reboot_vm_instanceVerify status
The AI checks the instance list again to see if the VM is coming back online.

How this task behaves
- 01
Can the AI delete my VMs?
No. This MCP only has tools to list instances and reboot them. It cannot delete or terminate any resources.
- 02
Does the AI need my JD Cloud password?
No. You connect via Vinkius, which manages the connection securely. Your AI client never sees your raw login credentials.
- 03
What if the reboot doesn't work?
The AI can only trigger the reboot command. If the VM is completely frozen at the hardware level, you'll have to use the JD Cloud console for a hard reset.
- 04
Can I create new instances with this?
No. The current tools are limited to listing and rebooting existing instances.
- 05
How does the AI know which VM I mean?
The AI uses the list tool to match the names or IDs you mention in your chat to the actual instances in your account.
