Short answer
How can I automate web scraping with my AI?
Your AI uses ParseHub to start pre-configured scraping projects and watches them until they finish. Once the data is ready, your agent pulls the JSON output so you can start analyzing it immediately. You get a direct pipeline from a website to your chat window.
The end results.
Where your data lands.
The AI manages the scraping lifecycle so you don't have to monitor browser windows.
EXECUTION
Scraping starts
The AI kicks off your saved ParseHub projects. It handles the trigger so the scraper runs on the web without you opening a browser.
MONITORING
Status tracking
Your agent checks the progress of the run. It waits for the scraper to finish so you aren't left guessing when the data is ready.
EXTRACTION
JSON delivery
Once the job is done, the AI grabs the raw JSON data. This puts the structured information right in front of your agent for processing.
HUMAN
Manual oversight
You still need to build the scraping logic in ParseHub first. The AI only runs the projects you have already configured and tested.
The workflow
What your AI does when the scraper is triggered.
The AI acts as the bridge between your scraping logic and your conversation.
Trigger the scrape
Your agent tells ParseHub to begin a specific scraping project you've already set up.
run_projectCheck progress
The AI looks at the current status of the job to see if it is still running or if it finished.
get_run_detailsFetch results
After the run completes, the AI pulls the structured JSON data from the finished job.
get_run_dataAnalyze data
The AI takes the JSON it just retrieved and prepares it for your questions or analysis.

How the automation behaves
- 01
Can the AI create new scraping projects?
No. You must set up and test your scraping projects within the ParseHub interface first. The AI can only run projects that already exist.
- 02
Does the AI handle the website navigation?
No. The navigation logic is part of your pre-configured ParseHub project. The AI simply tells ParseHub to execute that logic.
- 03
Can I ask the AI to scrape a random URL?
No. The AI can only trigger projects that are already saved in your ParseHub account.
- 04
What format is the data in?
The AI retrieves the data in JSON format, which it can then read and interpret for you.
- 05
Can the AI fix a scraping error?
No. If a scrape fails due to a website change or a logic error, you'll need to fix the project in ParseHub yourself.
