Short answer
How can I use AI to tag my Pulumi stacks?
Your AI client uses Pulumi tools to check current stack metadata and write new tags directly to your environments. This lets you group stacks by team or cost center without running CLI commands. You'll see the specific outcomes below.
Organized environments.
Where metadata lands.

How this task behaves.
- 01
Can the AI delete my Pulumi stacks?
No. This MCP only has tools to list and set tags. It cannot delete stacks or any other infrastructure resources.
- 02
Will the AI change my infrastructure code?
No. The AI only interacts with the stack metadata via the API. It does not touch your local files or your source code.
- 03
Can I use this to manage multiple stacks at once?
Yes. You can ask the AI to apply tags to a specific stack or identify patterns across several stacks.
- 04
Does the AI need my Pulumi access token?
Vinkius manages the connection securely. You provide the credentials to Vinkius, and your AI client uses them through the MCP.
- 05
Can the AI remove an existing tag?
No. The available tools only allow for listing and setting tags. It cannot perform a delete operation on a specific tag.
