Short answer
How can I deploy a specific commit SHA using my AI?
You give your AI the Git commit SHA and the target Qovery environment name. The AI then calls the deployment tool to push that exact code state to your infrastructure. You'll see the deployment status update in your Qovery dashboard.
Deployment outcomes
What happens after you prompt.
Your AI moves code from a specific commit to a running environment.
DEPLOYED
Live code updates
The AI triggers the deployment process for your chosen SHA. Your environment updates to match that specific point in your Git history.
VERIFIED
Commit accuracy
The agent confirms the SHA exists before attempting the push. This prevents deployment failures caused by typos or non-existent references.
MONITORED
Deployment tracking
Your AI tracks the progress of the deployment. You get immediate feedback on whether the build succeeded or hit a snag.
MANUAL
Human intervention
If a build fails, the AI reports the error logs. You decide whether to retry with a different commit or fix the code manually.
The workflow
What your AI does when the command arrives.
The AI translates your natural language request into a precise deployment instruction.
Identify the target
The AI parses your message to find the specific Git SHA and the Qovery environment you want to update.
deploy_applicationValidate the SHA
The agent checks that the provided commit hash is valid and ready for deployment.
deploy_applicationExecute deployment
The AI sends the deployment command to Qovery to start the build and rollout process.
deploy_applicationReport status
The agent monitors the deployment lifecycle and tells you if the environment is live or if the build failed.

Deployment behavior
- 01
Can the AI delete my Qovery environments?
No. The AI only has the ability to deploy applications via the provided tool.
- 02
Does the AI need my Qovery password?
No. You connect via Vinkius, and your login remains encrypted and managed securely.
- 03
Can I deploy a branch instead of a SHA?
Yes, as long as the tool accepts the branch reference as a valid deployment target.
- 04
Will the AI automatically roll back if a deployment fails?
No. The AI will report the failure to you, but you must decide if you want to trigger a rollback or a new deployment.
- 05
Can the AI change my environment variables?
No. The current tool is strictly for triggering deployments of specific commits.
