  Is the data provided real-time?

  The data reflects the official rates published by the Central Bank of Brazil. While it is highly current, the rates are based on the official daily closing or reference quotes, not necessarily millisecond-by-millisecond market feeds.

  No. Because Vinkius hosts and manages this MCP, you do not need to worry about API keys or authentication credentials. You connect once, and the service is ready to use.

  Does this cover all global currencies?

  The MCP supports over 150 currencies, including major global currencies and exotic ones. You can use the listar_moedas capability to see the full list of available codes.

  What is the difference between PTAX and SGS data?

  PTAX is the official reference rate used for daily reporting. SGS provides a commercial dollar series that is often more flexible for analyzing long-term trends, making it useful for different types of financial modeling.

  What is PTAX?

  PTAX is the official BRL/USD reference rate calculated by the Central Bank of Brazil. It's computed from daily consultations with foreign exchange dealers and is used as the benchmark for settling FX contracts, derivatives, and international transactions in Brazil.

  Can I query currencies other than USD?

  Yes! The Central Bank holds an active catalog covering more than 150 different foreign exchange currencies against the Real (BRL). The AI will fetch daily crosses simply by mentioning the currency ticker.

  No. The integration interfaces entirely with the Central Bank's open access OData portals. Subscribe the module and engage directly without generating account tokens.
