  How do I connect my Hudu instance?

  You subscribe to the MCP on Vinkius and enter your Hudu Instance URL and API Key. Once connected, your AI client can immediately start interacting with your data.

  Which AI clients can I use with this MCP?

  You can use any MCP-compatible client, including Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code.

  Can I create new assets through the chat?

  Yes, you can use the create_asset capability to add new hardware or software records to a specific company.

  Is my password data secure?

  The MCP uses your Hudu API credentials to securely retrieve specific password entries and secrets as requested by your agent.

  Can I filter assets by client?

  Yes, you can list assets and filter them specifically by a company ID to see only what belongs to one client.

  Can I retrieve stored passwords for a specific client?

  Yes. Use list_passwords with an optional company_id to filter passwords by client. Then use get_password with a specific password ID to retrieve the full entry including the secret. Use list_companies to find the company ID first.

  Does Hudu require a custom instance URL?

  Yes. Hudu is self-hosted or uses dedicated instances, so you need to provide your Instance URL (e.g., https://your-company.huducloud.com) along with the API Key. The API Key is sent via the x-api-key header (not Bearer), and all API calls are routed to {instanceUrl}/api/v1.

  Can I track all assets for a specific company?

  Yes. Use list_assets with the company_id parameter to retrieve all assets (servers, workstations, network devices) for a specific client. Use get_asset for detailed specifications and tags. Use create_asset to add new assets with a name, company ID, and optional asset tag.
