  How do I connect my Inoreader account?

  You need to provide your Inoreader Access Token, which you can find in your Inoreader developer preferences, during the setup process.

  Which AI clients can I use with this MCP?

  You can use this MCP with any compatible client, including Claude, Cursor, and Windsurf.

  Will deleting a tag delete my articles?

  No. If you use the delete capability on a tag, the articles remain in your account, but the specific organizational label is removed.

  Can I add new RSS feeds using the AI?

  Yes. You can use the quick add capability to subscribe to any new feed by simply providing its URL to your agent.

  Is it possible to star articles through the AI?

  Yes. You can instruct your agent to star or unstar items within your feeds.

  Can I use this to find specific articles across all my subscriptions?

  Yes! Use the list_stream_contents capability with the system stream ID user/-/state/com.google/reading-list. You can then ask the AI to filter or search for specific keywords within the returned articles.

  Is it possible to star articles directly from the conversation?

  Absolutely. Use the edit_tag capability and provide the Article ID with the add parameter set to user/-/state/com.google/starred. This will instantly save the article to your Starred folder in Inoreader.

  Run the get_unread_counts capability. It returns a structured list of all your streams (feeds, folders, and tags) along with the precise count of unread items for each.
