  What credentials do I need for this MCP?

  You must be an official OpenTable partner. You will need a Client ID and Client Secret provided by the OpenTable partner dashboard.

  Can I filter guest lists by email preference?

  Yes. The list_guests capability includes an email_optin filter to return only guests who have consented to marketing.

  Does this work with my existing POS system?

  This MCP can access POS data, but the restaurant must have a POS integration enabled on the OpenTable side to link spend to reservations.

  Vinkius manages the OAuth2 process. It uses your credentials to mint and cache Bearer tokens, so you don't have to.

  How do I get OpenTable API credentials?

  Access is partner-gated: restaurants and POS/tech integrators join the OpenTable partner network (opentable.com/restaurant-solutions/api-partners). After approval, your app receives a Client ID + Client Secret; the OAuth client_credentials flow mints the Bearer token.

  How does the guest CRM sync scale?

  Use updated_after with the timestamp of your last successful sync. the API returns only changed profiles (deltas), with limit/offset paging. This avoids full pulls and keeps your CRM in sync efficiently.
