  What do I need to connect this MCP?

  You will need your App ID, Region, and API Key from your CometChat dashboard to authenticate the connection.

  Can I delete users with this MCP?

  Yes, you can use the delete_user capability to permanently remove a user or the deactivate_user capability to disable them without deleting their data.

  This MCP works with any MCP-compatible client, including Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code.

  Yes, the send_message capability allows your agent to send text messages to both individual users and groups.

  Vinkius hosts and manages the MCP, handling the credentials and keeping the connection active so you don't have to.

  Log in to the CometChat dashboard at app.cometchat.com. Your App ID, Region, and API Key are displayed on the app overview page.

  What is the difference between UID and GUID?

  UID (User ID) is the unique identifier for a user. GUID (Group ID) is the unique identifier for a group. Both are used to target specific resources in the API.
