  How do I connect this MCP to my LiveKit account?

  You need your API Key, API Secret, and Host URL from your LiveKit Cloud or self-hosted project settings. Enter these into the Vinkius credential fields to connect.

  Can I use this with a self-hosted LiveKit instance?

  Yes. As long as you provide the correct Host URL and credentials for your self-hosted server, the MCP can interact with it.

  What happens to a participant when I remove them?

  When you remove a participant, they are disconnected from the room. On LiveKit Cloud, their access token is also revoked.

  Can the AI send messages to everyone in a room?

  Yes. You can use the data messaging capability to send payloads to all participants using either reliable or lossy delivery modes.

  Which AI clients can use this MCP?

  Any MCP-compatible client, such as Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, or VS Code, can use these capabilities.

  Can I list all active rooms on my LiveKit server?

  Yes! Use the list_ttvoice_rooms capability. It calls the LiveKit RoomService ListRooms endpoint and returns all currently open rooms with their participant count, metadata, and creation time.

  How do I mute a participant's microphone?

  First use list_ttvoice_participants to get the track SID for the participant's audio track. Then call mute_ttvoice_track with the room name, participant identity, track SID, and muted set to 'true'.

  Does this work with self-hosted LiveKit servers?

  Yes! Just provide your self-hosted server's URL (e.g., https://livekit.yourserver.com) as the Host URL, along with the API Key and Secret from your server's config.yaml.
