  This MCP connects directly to your Afterpay merchant account via your credentials. You use your AI client to interact with the payment data, regardless of which e-commerce platform you run.

  What kind of payments can I manage?

  It handles Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) payments through Afterpay. You can manage checkouts, monitor payments, and process refunds for these specific transactions.

  Yes. You can use the MCP to retrieve a secure list of all historical BNPL transactions and authorizations from your account.

  Is there a limit to the refunds I can process?

  The MCP allows you to initiate full or partial refunds. However, you must always verify the remaining balance before issuing a credit.

  You can retrieve your merchant configuration, which shows both the minimum and maximum order limits enforced by your Afterpay account.

  How do I find my Afterpay Merchant credentials?

  Log in to your Afterpay Merchant Portal, go to Settings > API. You can generate and retrieve your Merchant ID and Secret Key there. Make sure to choose the correct region (US, AU, UK).

  Can I process a partial refund via the agent?

  Yes! Use the refund_payment capability and provide the orderId and the specific amount. Your agent will submit the partial refund request to Afterpay for processing.

  What is the difference between Capture and Auth?

  'Capture' finalizes the payment immediately. 'Auth' (Authorization) holds the funds on the customer's account, and you must call the capture capability later (usually when shipping) to finalize the transaction.
