  How do I connect my Contrast Security data?

  You subscribe to the MCP on Vinkius and provide your Contrast Application API keys and Org ID. Once authorized, it is ready to use in your AI client.

  This MCP works with any compatible client, including Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code.

  Yes. You can use the capability to retrieve technical details for specific vulnerability traces, including the affected file and line number.

  No. Vinkius hosts the MCP and manages the connection, but the data comes directly from your Contrast Security environment using your credentials.

  Yes. You can use the list_monitored_servers capability to see where Contrast agents are deployed.

  How do I find my Contrast Security API credentials?

  Log into your Contrast Security web interface. Navigate directly to your profile dropdown via User Settings -> Profile. Here you will find your distinct Authorization Key (encoded string), API Key, and the required Organization UUID at the very top.

  A Trace is the Contrast terminology applied to a single explicit instance of a security vulnerability uncovered deep within an executing application. Every trace holds a massive amount of payload data concerning the attack vectors.
