  Can my AI agent verify JWTs without this MCP?

  No. While an agent can decode the base64 text to read claims, it cannot perform the mathematical cryptographic signature verification required to prove a token is authentic.

  Does this require an internet connection to verify tokens?

  No. This MCP performs all decoding and mathematical verification locally using the V8 engine.

  The capability will return a verification error, allowing your agent to know the token is forged or incorrect.
