  How do I connect my Mem.ai account?

  You subscribe to the MCP on Vinkius and enter your Mem.ai API Key. Once connected, it is ready to use in any compatible client.

  Can I recover a deleted note?

  No. Deleting a mem via the API is permanent and cannot be recovered.

  What makes the search different from a normal search?

  This MCP uses semantic search, which means your agent looks for the meaning and context of your query rather than just looking for exact word matches.

  Yes. This MCP works with Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, and any other MCP-compatible client.

  You can use the capability to create Collections and add specific mems to them to keep your workspace organized.

  How is Mem's AI search different from regular keyword search?

  Mem uses semantic similarity. When your agent uses the search_mems capability, it identifies notes based on the meaning of your query. This means you can find relevant context even if you don't remember the exact words used in the original note.

  In Mem, folders are called 'Collections'. Use the create_collection and add_mem_to_collection capabilities. Your agent can establish thematic groups and link specific mems to them structurally, maintaining an organized workspace through conversation.
