  How do I connect my n8n instance?

  You just need to provide your n8n Base URL and your API Key after subscribing to the MCP on Vinkius. Once connected, it's ready to use in your AI client.

  Does this MCP expose my actual passwords?

  No. When you list credentials, the MCP only provides metadata like the system type and ID. It does not expose your literal secure tokens.

  Can I use this with Cursor or VS Code?

  Yes. This MCP works with any MCP-compatible client, including Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code.

  What happens if a workflow fails?

  You can ask your agent to get the execution details for a specific ID. This pulls the trace logs so you can see exactly which node caused the failure.

  Is it possible to see who has access to my workflows?

  Yes. You can use the capability to list the users and roles provisioned on your n8n instance.

  Does this work with self-hosted n8n instances?

  Yes. You just need to provide your full n8n Base URL (e.g., https://n8n.your-company.com). Your agent will connect securely to your private instance using your n8n API Key.

  Yes. Use the get_execution capability with a specific Execution ID. Your agent will retrieve the node-level trace logs, allowing you to see which specific node encountered an error and the resulting output payload for that step.
