  How do I connect my Namecheap account?

  You subscribe to the MCP on Vinkius and enter your Namecheap API Key and Username. Once connected, it is ready to use in your AI client.

  Yes, you can use the set_dns_hosts capability to update your A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, URL, URL301, and FRAME records.

  Vinkius manages your credentials securely so you can connect your client once and work without re-entering keys.

  How do I get a Namecheap API key?

  Log in to Namecheap, go to Profile > Capabilities & Services > Business & Developer Capabilities > API Access, enable API access and your API key will be displayed. Also whitelist your IP address for security.

  Can I update DNS records?

  Yes! Use set_dns_hosts with the domain name and a JSON array of DNS records. This replaces all existing records, so include all records you want to keep. Supports A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, URL, URL301 and FRAME record types.

  Yes! Use check_domain_availability with the domain name you want to check. Returns availability status, premium status and pricing information.
