  Can the AI agent read my incoming WhatsApp messages?

  No. This MCP is a one-way capability designed only for sending messages. It cannot access your inbox or read replies.

  What information do I need to provide?

  You will need your Meta Phone Number ID and an Access Token to use the capability.

  How should I format the phone numbers?

  Use the E.164 format but do not include the plus sign. For example, use 5511999999999 instead of +5511999999999.

  Why did my message fail to send?

  If you are trying to message a user outside of a 24-hour service window, you must use pre-approved templates from the Meta API.

  Is this compatible with my existing AI capabilities?

  Yes, this MCP works with any MCP-compatible client including Claude, Cursor, and Windsurf.

  Can the agent read incoming WhatsApp replies with this?

  No. This MCP utilizes the REST API strictly for creating new messages. It does not configure or expose incoming webhooks, meaning it acts strictly as a one-way notification megaphone. It cannot see your customer's replies.

  Why are some messages failing to send?

  The Meta WhatsApp Cloud API has a strict 24-hour service window. If you are sending a free-form text message to a user who hasn't messaged you in the last 24 hours, the API will block it unless you use a pre-approved Message Template. Ensure you are within the 24-hour window for free-form replies.
