Connect Alchemy MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Alchemy to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build Cline components using live Alchemy token data
The Alchemy MCP Server lets Cline fetch real ERC-20 balances to build accurate web3 frontends. Cline calls `get_token_balances` to pull real-world token distributions, then writes the exact React hooks needed to render them. You do not need to mock complex Ethereum states in Cline. Using this live Alchemy payload, the agent styles tables, handles empty states, and writes unit tests that reflect actual mainnet data.
Track block heights inside Cline's workspace
Fetching block heights with the `get_latest_block_number` tool gives Cline instant access to the tip of the Ethereum network. Your agent applies this number to set up local polling intervals or configure event listeners in your backend code. Having this tool allows Cline to verify if your local hardhat fork is out of sync. It keeps your Cline workspace aligned with the live Ethereum chain state automatically using Alchemy.
Debug smart contract deployments directly in VS Code
Retrieving transaction details with the `get_transaction_receipt` MCP tool exposes deployment statuses and gas consumption inside Cline. The agent executes this tool to verify if your contract deployment succeeded on Sepolia or Mainnet. If a deployment fails, Cline reads the transaction logs from the receipt to diagnose the revert reason. After identifying the bug, Cline modifies your Solidity code and attempts an Alchemy-verified redeployment without manual intervention.
