Script Your Utility Bill Checks

Use this MCP Server from any shell to automate your finances. A simple script can call `list_accounts`, then `list_statements`, and `grep` for the latest bill amount. Set it up as a cron job to run weekly. If a new bill is found, pipe the output to a notification script. You never have to log into a utility website again.

Monitor Energy Usage from the Command Line

Need to quickly check consumption for a specific meter? Just run Claude Code with a prompt to use `get_meter_data`. The output is clean JSON, perfect for piping into `jq`. This is great for DevOps or SREs monitoring infrastructure costs. You can build a script that polls utility meters for your data centers and alerts you if consumption exceeds a set threshold.

Run MCP Server Exports in CI/CD

Integrate utility data checks directly into your deployment process. Add a step in your GitHub Action or Jenkinsfile that calls this MCP Server to confirm account status with `get_account_check`. You can also build automated reports. A nightly job could use `list_meters` and `get_meter_data` to pull all usage data for the month, format it as CSV, and upload it to cloud storage.

Common questions about Arcadia Utility Cloud MCP in Claude Code

After adding the MCP server, you can call it in any shell script. For example: `claude "get my latest electric bill from Arcadia" | jq '.amount'`. The output is structured data, so you can pipe it to other command-line tools.
Run `claude mcp add --transport http arcadia -- `. You can then verify it's connected with `claude mcp list`. The name 'arcadia' is just an alias you choose.
Yes. Since Claude Code is a headless CLI, it's perfect for CI/CD. You can install it in your workflow, configure it with your Vinkius token, and then run commands to fetch utility data as part of your job.
For automation. A CLI lets you schedule tasks with cron, integrate data into backend services, and build monitoring alerts—things you can't do with a graphical interface. It's built for headless, repeatable workflows.
Your Vinkius token, stored locally in `~/.claude.json`, handles authentication for all requests. The server itself is ephemeral; it processes requests for your utility meter data and statement metadata in a temporary, sandboxed environment and stores nothing.
