When you tell your agent to fix a bug, it uses `list_work_items` to find the exact issue ID you mentioned. It knows what to work on without you pasting the URL. After writing the code, the agent needs context on where things live. It calls `list_repositories` to verify the module structure before generating the final diff. The entire loop happens inside your editor.
Monitor pipelines while you code
When you push a commit, ask your MCP agent to run `list_builds` to check if your changes broke the main branch. Switching windows breaks focus. If something goes wrong, it can dig deeper. It pulls `list_pipelines` to see which specific stage failed, letting you fix the issue before anyone else notices.
Understand project structure fast
Running `list_projects` gives your agent a complete map of the organization's architecture instantly. Joining a new codebase usually means days of confusion. From there, it can execute `list_project_teams` to figure out who owns the specific service you are modifying. You get the context you need to write code that actually fits the existing system.
