Fast CLI Pipeline Inspections (MCP Server)

Ditch the slow Azure web portal. Claude Code uses this MCP Server to fetch pipeline structures instantly via `list_pipelines` and `get_pipeline` right inside your terminal. You can pipe this metadata into local scripts or grep for specific activities. This makes auditing complex ETL workflows incredibly fast. You ask Claude Code to find a specific pipeline, and it pulls the exact JSON definition in seconds.

Monitor Compute Pools from the Terminal

Keep tabs on your cloud spending without leaving your shell. Claude Code queries `list_sql_pools` and `list_spark_pools` to show you active compute resources. If you are debugging a slow batch job, Claude Code checks the Spark pool configurations to see if the executor count is throttled, helping you tune performance immediately.

Audit Linked Services and Datasets

Verify data lineage directly from your command line. Claude Code calls `list_linked_services` and `list_datasets` to map out where your Synapse workspace is pulling data from. This is perfect for terminal-based SREs who need to check if a production pipeline points to the correct staging or production database.
