Connect BambooHR MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect BambooHR to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build HR tools with live BambooHR data
The `list_employees_directory` tool feeds active staff records straight into your workspace. You tell Cline to build an internal contact widget, and it grabs the real data to mock up the UI. It writes the component, imports the API response, and shows you the diff. Need to update a record? Cline can trigger `update_employee` to push changes back to the system. You get end-to-end task execution where your agent writes the code and tests it against the actual HR backend.
Code around team availability via this MCP Server
The `whos_out` tool pulls vacation schedules for any date range. If you're writing a script to assign support tickets, Cline can query this endpoint to skip people who are on leave. This MCP Server turns HR data into actionable code inputs. Cline fetches the absence list, writes the filtering logic in TypeScript, and runs the script to prove it works.
Automate report parsing via MCP
Cline uses `get_company_report` to download specific data views by ID. Instead of manually exporting spreadsheets, you ask your agent to fetch the headcount report and write a script to analyze the changes. The agent handles the formatting. It pulls the raw JSON, creates a local database table, maps the fields, and inserts the rows. You get a finished integration without writing the boilerplate.
