Build ticket widgets with Cursor Agent

Stop hardcoding fake concert data. When you build a React component for a tour page, Cursor uses `get_artist_events` to feed real JSON into your props. You see exactly how the API formats dates and ticket links while you type. The MCP connection handles the network request and injects the live payload right where your cursor sits.

Map coordinates to recommended shows

Building a location-based discovery feature requires accurate test data. The `get_recommended_events` tool takes latitude, longitude, and a radius parameter. Your AI client reads these parameters and tests the logic live. It pulls actual event details so you can write parsing functions that do not break in production.

Cross-reference Facebook IDs using this MCP Server

Migrating a legacy database is notoriously annoying. Tools like `get_artist_by_facebook_id` and `get_artist_by_id` let you map identifiers on the fly. Cursor runs these queries in the background to validate your migration script. You get immediate confirmation that your ID mapping works against the real database.

Common questions about Bandsintown MCP in Cursor

Create an `mcp.json` file in your `.cursor` directory. Add the Vinkius remote URL and your authentication token, then enable Agent mode in the chat panel.
It sure can. The AI calls `get_venue_events` or `get_recommended_events` to grab active ticket URLs. You can then ask it to write a button component using that exact link.
Context matters. You get the API response directly inside your editor, allowing the AI to write interfaces based on the actual data structure without switching windows.
You tell the agent what timeframe you need. It passes "upcoming", "past", or a specific range to the `get_artist_events` tool to fetch the correct slice of data.
No source code leaves your machine. The zero-trust Vinkius architecture only receives the specific tool arguments, such as Facebook page IDs or venue names, before destroying the ephemeral execution environment.
