Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Baseten MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Baseten to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Run Baseten predictions directly from Cline
Cline uses the `predict` tool to execute serverless model inferences without leaving VS Code. You can ask it to generate test inputs, send them to your active endpoint, and inspect the raw tensor responses in your workspace. This means Cline can write integration tests for your ML pipeline, execute them against your live Baseten backend, and refactor your code based on the actual model outputs.
Inspect active deployments using this MCP Server
This MCP Server lets Cline query your model infrastructure to verify active setups. It runs `list_models` and `get_model` to map out your available models before writing any API integration code. If a deployment is slow, Cline calls `list_deployments` to inspect active inferences. It checks the deployment status and helps you debug endpoint configuration issues in real-time.
Safe workspace secret checks inside Cline
Cline can verify your environment configuration without compromising security. It uses `list_secrets` to check if your workspace has the required API keys set up for your Baseten workspace. It then uses `get_deployment` to match those secrets against the active deployment target. This ensures Cline never writes broken code that fails due to missing environment variables.
