Multi-agent server oversight for CrewAI

Assign one agent to watch server population with `get_server_player_count_history` while another processes the data. They work in tandem to keep your operations running. Use `search_servers` to let your research agent find new servers to track. It feeds the results directly into the crew's shared memory for the analysis agent to use.

Automated player analysis and reporting

Have your moderator agent check player status with `get_player`. If the agent finds an issue, it can immediately pull session logs using `get_player_sessions`. This specialized approach lets your agents handle the heavy lifting. One agent digs into the records while the other summarizes the findings for you.

Centralized ban and game management

Task a security agent with scanning `list_bans` for specific infractions. It ensures your crew is always aware of the current enforcement state. Use `list_games` to give your crew context about the games being monitored. It keeps the agents aligned on which servers and players matter most.

Setup guide

Set up BattleMetrics MCP in CrewAI

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • crewai package (pip install crewai)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install CrewAI

    Run pip install crewai to install the framework. MCP support is built-in via the mcps parameter.

  2. 2

    Add the MCP URL to your agent

    Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the mcps list. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically.

  3. 3

    Kick off your crew

    Create a Crew with your agent and tasks. Call crew.kickoff() — the agent will automatically invoke BattleMetrics tools as needed.

crew.py
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew

agent = Agent(
    role="BattleMetrics Analyst",
    goal="Access and analyze BattleMetrics data via MCP.",
    backstory="Expert analyst with direct BattleMetrics access.",
    mcps=[
        "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    ],
)

task = Task(
    description="List recent BattleMetrics transactions",
    agent=agent,
    expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)

crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result)

Common questions about BattleMetrics MCP in CrewAI

Yes, the framework uses shared memory to pass the output of one tool, like `get_player`, to another agent in the crew.
You pass the server URL directly into your agent's MCP configuration. Once connected, your crew gains access to all 12 tools.
The server manages the connection, and you can add logic to your agents to pace their requests. This keeps you within the API boundaries while the crew works.
You use the tool_filter option in the configuration to limit an agent to specific functions like `list_servers` or `get_ban`.
Your agent sessions are ephemeral and run within a secure sandbox. We never store your tokens or player history after the process concludes.
