Connect BigOven MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect BigOven to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live recipe data into Cursor codebases
Using `get_recipe` pulls complete recipe payloads directly into your Cursor editor so you can build food apps with real data. Forget about relying on mock JSON structures or outdated stubs while writing your logic. Your Cursor agent uses this MCP Server to write, test, and populate database schemas with actual BigOven ingredient lists. Prototyping speeds up because your AI editor sees the exact data format your application will handle.
Query ingredients directly within your Cursor workspace
The `search_by_ingredient` tool allows your Cursor composer to search the BigOven database using specific food keywords. This lets you generate test cases and seed files with real-world culinary combinations. When paired with `list_categories`, Cursor can organize your seed data into accurate taxonomies. The result is clean, contextual mock-ups that mirror real production environments.
Build dynamic food UI components using this MCP Server
To retrieve live image URLs, `get_recipe_photos` lets Cursor generate fully populated frontend components. Watch your React or Vue cards render real food photography during your development loops. Whenever you build rating systems, `get_recipe_reviews` pulls actual user comments to help you style and test your review components. It keeps you focused inside Cursor without needing to manually copy dummy text.
