Autonomous data gathering for Windsurf
Cascade uses `search_web` to pull live data into your codebase. It grabs up to 50 organic results directly from the Microsoft Graph to inform your development process. You avoid manual research by letting the agent run `autosuggest` to refine queries. It maps partial inputs against high-velocity logs to ensure your search intent matches the expected output.
Structured visual and entity discovery
The `search_images` tool returns pixel-perfect thumbnails while `search_entities` maps complex knowledge graphs for your project. You get precise metadata for every object or person identified. Windsurf treats these results as context for your current file. It parses the structured data to build logic that accounts for real-world entities and specific image dimensions.
Local and news-driven context
Fetch local business details using `search_local` to ground your application in geographic reality. You can also pull syndicated PR articles via `search_news` to stay updated on global industry shifts. These tools feed directly into your agent's decision tree. By querying these specific endpoints, Cascade maintains a live connection to the world outside your editor.
