Multi-Agent Consensus for Botsonic Bot Creation

Avoid deploying half-baked support bots by letting AutoGen agents debate the configuration first. One agent drafts the bot profile, while a critic agent reviews it before calling `create_bot`. Once they agree, the execution agent calls `add_knowledge_url` to train the bot. This team dynamic ensures no bot goes live without proper training sources.

Collaborative Lead Analysis via MCP Server

Use this MCP Server to let specialized agents analyze your customer pipeline. A sales agent calls `list_leads` to gather contact info, while a marketing agent evaluates the lead quality. They debate which leads are ready for outreach, then use `send_message` to test custom bot responses on simulated profiles before launching.

Automated Bot Optimization Teams

Set up a performance loop where a data-analyst agent calls `get_bot_analytics` to find low-performing support bots. It passes these metrics to a copywriter agent. The copywriter agent proposes prompt tweaks, and after a short debate, the system triggers `update_bot` to push the optimized settings live.

Setup guide

Set up Botsonic MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Botsonic tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Botsonic_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Botsonic data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Botsonic MCP in AutoGen

Use the `mcp_server_tools` helper with your Vinkius HTTP endpoint. The `McpToolAdapter` converts the schemas so your AssistantAgent can use them immediately.
Yes, they can. Agents in your group chat can share the toolset, allowing one agent to run `list_bots` and another to call `get_bot` on the results.
Yes, the adapter supports streamable HTTP transports, ensuring that tools like `send_message` pass responses back to your agents without lag.
Absolutely. AutoGen agents can run these tools in any Python-based CLI or CI/CD pipeline without needing a browser.
Chat logs retrieved via `get_conversation` remain strictly inside your local agent runtime. Vinkius handles the connection using single-token authentication over an ephemeral, encrypted MCP connection.
