Multi-Agent Consensus for Browserbear Runs

The Browserbear MCP Server lets your planning agent suggest a web scrape while a critic agent checks the parameters. One agent shouldn't make all the decisions. Once they agree on the target, they use `list_tasks` to select the right template. The execution agent then calls `run_task` to run the automation, preventing broken runs and reducing wasted credits.

Visual Verification with an MCP Server

This MCP Server puts an end to blind web automation by letting your verification agent snap quick pictures of rendered pages. Use `take_screenshot` to capture the layout in real time. A vision-enabled agent can then inspect the screenshot to verify the layout or content. If something looks wrong, the agent can call `create_task` to adjust the automation steps on the fly.

Autonomous Budget and Run Management

Managing operational costs is simple when your agents use this MCP Server to check credit limits. A coordinator agent can call `get_account_usage` before starting a massive scraping queue. If the limits are fine, it triggers the queue using `run_task` and monitors progress with `list_runs`. If a run fails, a debugging agent calls `get_run` to analyze the error logs and suggest fixes.

Setup guide

Set up Browserbear MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Browserbear tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Browserbear_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Browserbear data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Browserbear MCP in AutoGen

You register tools like `run_task` and `take_screenshot` using the McpToolAdapter. Once registered, any agent in your conversational group can invoke them.
Yes. A developer agent can invoke `run_task`, and once `get_run` returns the data, a separate analyst agent takes the payload to write a report.
Yes. The server is hosted on Vinkius and fully supports streamable HTTP, making it easy to connect via the StreamableHttpServerParams utility.
Yes, your agents can call `delete_run` to purge old execution histories once they have extracted and debated the relevant data.
Absolutely. All scraping payloads, run metadata, and project configurations are processed through an ephemeral sandbox. Vinkius never logs or inspects the content of your browser tasks.
