Build subscriber workflows with this MCP Server
The `create_subscriber` tool inserts new email addresses directly into your newsletter list. Cline uses this to test sign-up flows, allowing it to write local landing page code and immediately check the integration. By combining this with `list_subscribers`, Cline can build custom admin dashboards in your local codebase. It queries your actual audience data to populate the UI components it creates, ensuring your local mockups use real data.
Generate and refine newsletter drafts in Cline
The `create_email` tool creates raw drafts directly in your campaign queue using this MCP integration. Cline reads your local documentation, writes the newsletter copy, and pushes it to Buttondown so you can review it online. If you need to make quick edits, Cline uses `get_email` to pull the draft back into VS Code. It modifies the markdown content and updates the draft without you ever opening a browser tab.
Analyze campaign performance directly in Cline
The `get_email_analytics` tool extracts delivery rates, click maps, and unsubscribe metrics for your sent campaigns. Cline pulls this raw data to help you analyze which subject lines performed best. It can write these metrics into a local CSV file or generate a markdown report using `list_emails` to compare multiple campaigns. This keeps your marketing reviews right next to your code.
