How to Use the Buzzsprout MCP in Cursor
Write code that interacts with your Buzzsprout podcast feed using Cursor's active workspace context.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Buzzsprout MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Buzzsprout to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject real podcast data into your Cursor code
`list_episodes` pulls your actual live feed data directly into your Cursor editor workspace. Your AI agent uses these real API responses to build and test frontend components instead of relying on mock JSON files. Writing a custom website player becomes faster when Cursor can inspect your live audio URLs. The editor writes components against your actual Buzzsprout data structure.
Automate show note generation inside Cursor
`create_episode` links your newly written markdown show notes to your actual podcast feed via MCP. Cursor reads your local workspace files and pushes them to Buzzsprout with zero manual copy-pasting. If you need to make bulk updates to past episodes, `update_episode` runs changes across your catalog. The editor executes these updates directly from your active code context.
Query host settings with this Cursor MCP Server
`get_podcast_info` fetches your account's primary RSS details directly into your active coding session. This saves you from hardcoding feed URLs or searching through your Buzzsprout dashboard. Cursor uses this live context to configure environment variables or verify API connections. You get instant validation that your integration code matches your actual podcast settings.
